As lead designer on the redesign of Folgers Coffee I knew that a brighter and friendlier design was needed in order to compete on shelf with all the new premium coffees available. We developed a more playful logotype and went from a 3 color can to a full color one. The end result being Folgers being able to recapture consumers who went to other brands as well as take a considerable buyers from the competition. The new brand was successfully applied to sub-brands such as Folgers Flavors and special events like the Statue of Liberty promotion.
